Behmerwald Nursery

Behmerwald Nursery was founded in 1989. The initial focus of the business was on growing and selling perennial flowers to garden centers in the Philadelphia area. Since 1989 our surrounding area has become much more suburban and our focus has shifted to the retail market.

We grow an extensive variety of perennials, shrubs, and trees all selected to excel in our region. Because they do so well in the landscape we have great selection of Native plants. With over 20,000 plants in stock at the Nursery there is definitely something here that you need or want in your landscape.

Located at 4904 Garges Rd, Schwenksville, PA 19473, Behmerwald Nursery operates as a wholesale nursery serving Schwenksville in Pennsylvania. Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.
